I'll give it a chance at some point this weekend, possibly even tonight.

12 hours after I saw it -- it wasn't the mind blowing movie experience that spiderman 1 was, but it is a solid movie. Heath Ledger was excellent as The Joker in my opinion. I'm not going to spoil it but out of 10, I'd give it a 9/10.
It's a long movie -- the last time I wondered how long a movie was when I was in the theatre it was King Kong or The Departed. I got home at 3:30 am -- after a movie! That's too long, even the theatre staff looked like they had suitcases under their eyes.

I thought it was spectacular. There's a couple of good swerves so it's not the typical comic book hero plot I usually expect.

Dark Knight > Spider-Man 1 and I am a Marvel/Spider-Man Mark. Spider-Man 2 > Spider-Man 1. Dizzle dude.... Get better taste in Superhero movies... If you would have said Iron Man I would understand.

I didn't say I liked King Kong. . . I slept through an hour of that shit. Dark Knight was thorough, but in a good way -- I guess I should've had a red bull or 3 before I saw the movie. There was nothing fundamentally wrong with The Dark Knight.
But in terms of Superhero movies, I'm agreein with you on Dark Knight being better than Spider-Man 1. That movie was damn near perfect and I'm callin for Heath Ledger to get a nod for best actor at the very least.

Saw this last night. It was a great movie. Most movies start slow and build up to the emotional high point, but this thing started at a high point and never slowed down. Only things I disliked were Heath Ledger's constant licking of his lips and during a fight scene, you can tell Batman's kicking ass, but you can't tell how he's kicking ass (Batman Begins had the same problem). I might even say that it had "too much stuff" going on as I felt almost dizzy coming out of the theater, but then I'd be sounded like Chico. I haven't seen the Bourne movies and I rarely see new action movies, so maybe that's the way these films are made now, but watching this was just insane.
