I thought it was fun little game. Kinda hoped it would into later innings to see what that pud Selig would do if they ran out of pitchers again.

I can't believe people are whining about the guys having to play on " only a few days rest." Back in the early days of baseball, pitchers always pitched on almost no rest. And not just a few innings, either. This is a mentality that has been pushed a little too far. These guys are athletes. They should start acting like it.

If you were a pitcher coming off of 2 days rest, I'd understand. But position players should be used to the grind of a 6 month season. Scott Kazmir had a reason to complain -- 104 pitches on the sunday before the game -- but I don't even think he did, he just went out there and won the game for the AL.

I played baseball up all through High School, was quite good too and had some of these pitchers pitched more than 3 innings tops I would agree with you, but if they had no chance of pitching they should have given up their spot. Period. I have no problem with them getting to hang out and do all the All Star shit just as long as they aren't keeping someone else deserving from being an All Star when they have no intention of playing.
