I just accidentally subscribed again to Sports Illustrated. Not to pleased about it, I don't know if it is the internet that has spoiled me or what but there is not a whole lot of good writing in this magazine anymore.

Biggest problem is that high school and college kids no longer dream of being a writer for SI, they dream of being on the front page of ESPN.com like Bill Simmons.

Yea I guess, but I just expect more from something I have to pay for and am getting hardcopy of. Instead, I get a bunch of stats and basic opinions that are old that I could have asked someone off the street for.

The cover used to mean something, now the story inside is just boring.

ESPN the magazine is a better value. The magazine's not bad at all, but you also get access to ESPN Insider on the web as a subscriber. That puts it over the top because the ESPN Insider articles are actually worth reading.

ESPN Magazine actually did a cover story on Kimbo. That alone to me = many many buys.
