I fucking hate republicans because they try to legislate the morality of one religion into law for an entire country. I hate them because they choose business over humanity.
I think democrats are self righteous cunts. They claim extol the virtues of freedom while at the same time taking away right after right in the name of political correctness, or public welfare. They'd coddle everyone until there isn't anyone left who remembers how to be self-reliant.
Is there a political party out there that just makes some fucking sense?
Why are you a member of the political party you belong to? If you refuse to belong to any of them... why is that?

To answer your first question, if you're looking for one that fits my understanding of your criteria... no, there's no party like that, except a couple obscure one's that don't have a prayer of winning a significant seat.
As for my belonging, I'm in the "lean Republican" category, but to be specific that mainly means I consider myself to be more 'Anti-Democrat' than pro-GOP.

You're never wrong when your political affiliation is "independent." I can vote for whoever I like with no qualms, even a greenie if I feel like it (and yes I did vote for Nader in one election).

I hate everything and everybody. This world is ruled by white gay men. It doesn't matter who you vote for I suppose.

the u.s. needs a dictator for ten or twelve years to get shit straight. add in some closed borders, mandatory spaying and neutering, no exports/imports and eliminate socialist spending. then we create jobs, keep the wealth within the borders, and have a country with a real identity. that's the short version.

Blizard, you tried the Libertarian Party? And don't give up on the majors either. For Republicans you have outstanding men like Ron Paul. And I'm actually digging Obama for the Dems, a little.
Jason: You can't eliminate import/export, it would completely devastate our economy. And for awhile back when I was a kid, I thought closing off the borders and going isolationist would be a good thing as well, but we can't do that, the world depends on us for everything. Going iso would be turning our backs on the world and when we decide to go back to being open, we're gonna find that the world shut us out, and then we'd be way too dependent on other nations. We gotta learn to fix our problems within the system that exists.

it is the problem we have made for ourselves that we cannot do that sort of thing. we've made ourselves the interfering watchdog of the world and will never be able to do anything different. other countries will thrive knowing the u.s. will take care of the majority of world problems. all that aside, i usually side with libertarians.

Part of the problems is that we have appointed ourselves a watchdog, and part of it is that other countries have invited us to be the watchdog. But that all exists simply because we DO have the power to do both. It's sad when our government has thrown its weight around for selfish political interests that only benefit a few individuals rather than the whole country, but you have to admit we also wielded a lot of power in the the name of freedom, liberty, truth justice and righteousness. I don't hear Kuwait or Panama bitching about us being imperial dogs and Yankee enslavers.

you mean aside from the fact it ignores positive rights, is morally bankrupt and relies upon assumptions about the world that are demonstratively false?
