That show fucking ruled.
What a world we live in, where an awesome show like Deadwood only lasts three seasons, but Survivor is a never ending franchise.

Well, you have to understand that most American's are idiots. On te other hand, a lot of people probably didn't even know Deadwood existed. I loved it, but it took watching the season 1 DVD and having the option of watching the first 3-4 episodes in succession. To be honest, it wasn't until then that it grew on me, because Westerns just aren't popular these days.

For me, the only reason the dvd's came in handy is because I would have gone fucking crazy having to wait a week for the next episode to come out. I love westerns in general, but I'll be the first to admit that the dialogue can be fucking atrocious in even the best westerns. Deadwood was fucking brilliant in that respect. Especially Ian McShane as Al Swearengen.

Definitely agree. Like I said, it really just took me a while to really accept the show. Once I did, I fell in love with it though. From what I have heard, there is a serious possibility of a movie coming out.

Bad news... in HBO's most recent project updates and such, they pretty much confirmed that the movies are dead. Which really fucking blows, because Deadwood was goddamn near perfect.

I love this show. The fact that movies were planned and HBO won't make them is unfortunate.
