No question, FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS. It's one of those cases where it's everyone's favorite for a very goddamn good reason.

This is going to make me sound like a foolish man, but I have never read anything by Hunter S. Thompson. Unless you count reading Fear and Loathing after watching it first.

I've only read F&L plus some of his essays and personal letters myself, I've been meaning to check out Rum Diary and F&L On the Campaign Trail for a while now.

He really didn't like Richard Nixon. If you don't mind reading people wishing ill upon the dead while the body is still warm, it's pretty funny.

Any collection of his work for Rolling Stone is a good read.

Read Hells Angels (stick with it, it gets good) and his autobiography, Kingdom of Fear. OH also, his short story The Rum Diary. That's a short read, it rules.

Definitely read Hell's Angel. With out giving any spoilers, it's pretty shocking where this book leads.
